March 25, 2021

Hey, Digitex community! It’s been a busy week so far and we’re continuing to listen to your feedback and make additional improvements to the exchange. Today, we’re pleased to let you know that we have upgraded our stop loss order. As some of you have been requesting this for a while now, we think you’re going to love it. Read on to find out what’s changed and for other updates at Digitex this week as well.

As any seasoned trader knows, stop loss orders are essential for trading to minimize your losses and effectively manage your risk. With that in mind, we’ve made the Digitex stop loss order much more effective and easy to use in three simple steps:

  1. Press the Buy or Sell select button
  2. Type in the trigger price that will trigger the stop (always keep in mind that this number is based on the spot price, not the futures price)
  3. Type in the quantity
  4. Press the button “Set buy stop” or “Set sell stop”

What Is a Stop Loss Order and What Is it For?

For those of you who are new to trading, fear not, there are no stupid questions. A stop loss order is an order that you place to buy or sell automatically once the asset in question reaches a certain price. Effectively, this means that you can take a break from trading with the peace of mind that, in the event of high volatility or the market going against you, you are protected from suffering major losses.

So, say, for example, that you decide you don’t want to hold your long position if Bitcoin (BTC) falls by more than $100. You simply set your stop loss order at $100 below the price you bought at. If BTC falls to this price, you will automatically sell, and curtail your losses rather than potentially suffering far greater losses.

Since it costs nothing to set up your stop loss, it allows you to trade more efficiently knowing that you’ll never be further out of pocket than your risk appetite can tolerate. It also means that you can keep your emotions out of trading. Especially when you’re new to the market, it’s easy to ride the hype and let emotions cloud your judgement. This almost always leads to delays triggering a sale, higher losses, or even liquidation.

We hope you like the improvements to the stop loss order on Digitex. If you have more requests for UX/UI upgrades and additions, please share them on any of our socials or contact our support, and we’ll review them with the internal team.

What Else Is New at Digitex?

If you’ve been trading on our platform, you’ve probably already noticed that the spreads have gotten a lot tighter, even during really volatile markets as the price of BTC and ETH have plummeted this week. This (the tight spreads, not the price tanks!) is thanks to our new Liquidity Mining program. We’re really pleased to see that its purpose is taking full effect because it means that your orders are more likely to get filled. Traded volumes on the exchange are much higher this week due to this — $128 million 24-hour traded volume on the BTC futures market, and $31 million on ETH futures market.

Another really great piece of news is that the number of active traders on the exchange has doubled this week alone–and continues to rise daily. Since this is only week one of releasing the first of many upgrades to come on Digitex, we’re taking this as a good sign of what’s to come and happy to be back on track.

Last but not least, we understand that a lot of you have questions about the internal team and workings of Digitex. We made some very important organizational and workflow changes at the start of this year that have allowed us to kick things off again at a much faster, smoother, and more efficient pace–and with a far higher standard of quality.

This is our primary goal for the rest of the year ahead. As we approach the second quarter of 2021 already, we plan to bring you many more pleasant surprises and upgrades, so be sure to stay tuned.

Team Spotlight: Customer Support Manager Jolien on Why Now is Digitex’s Moment

Digitex Futures
• Digitex
July 8, 2020

It’s time for another Team Spotlight, and this time, our Customer Support Manager Jolien Coomans steps in! One of Digitex’s most long-standing and ardent supporters, Jolien shares all her thoughts on why now is the time for Digitex and the DGTX token.

Jolien may not be a familiar face, but anyone in the Digitex Telegram groups will know her name well. She’s been a Community Manager with Digitex since 2018. Like many of the team, she was a fan of the project before she joined us.

“After starting out with ETH and XRP, I was researching ICOs to look for a good investment. I came across Digitex right before the first token sale and was sold right away on the concept. I took a day off from work for the ICO, and was one of the lucky few to get tokens.”

She kept on supporting Digitex even after that, participating in the second ICO and buying DGTX each time it was listed on a new exchange. She joined the team in 2018, after helping out temporarily with community management on Telegram while the team was at the Malta Blockchain Conference, and has worked with Digitex ever since.

The Evolution of Digitex

How has she seen Digitex evolve over her time with the company? Jolien thinks that the last six months have seen some of the most significant growth.

“Over the last six months, a lot has changed. The company has grown massively, and my role has evolved with it as well. Now, along with community management, I’m also heavily involved with the support side of Digitex, making sure it’s working smoothly and reporting back to the team on issues cropping up on Telegram. I also help with marketing on Telegram. My job is very versatile as I do a bit of everything, which I love.”

She’s too modest to brag about her achievements, but Jolien is responsible for driving massive engagement for Digitex. She’s always coming up with new ideas for contests, such as our mainnet photo contest, or other ways to create interest in the DGTX token. In this way, Jolien really brings to life Adam’s vision of driving demand for DGTX.

Jolien shares her thoughts on what comes next for Digitex:

“Digitex and DGTX are set to boom – now is our time. With the KuCoin listing and the public launch coming up, together with the team we have now, and the new markets we will launch, all the opportunities we have are so bullish. Digitex will never be done expanding. There are always new and innovative ideas to make the platform better, and that keeps people interested and makes DGTX so valuable.”

She elaborates:

“Holding DGTX is just a no brainer. With everything in the pipeline, demand is going to spiral upwards. I don’t give financial advice but for me the future value is clear.”

Community-Driven Success

What does she think the Digitex community can do to help the DFE and the DGTX token achieve success?

“Apart from spreading the word and buying DGTX, there are other ways to support. Make sure you ask for onboarding on our mainnet by signing up for a testnet account. Then just send an email to support that you want in and you will be onboarded as soon as we can.”

How does she think the community mood has responded as we’ve moved from a small initial group of 20, to over 1500 traders?

“People in mainnet group are really giving positive feedback that’s helping us in many ways, and overall, the mood is very upbeat as we move closer to a public launch. Onboarding to more people has been a fantastic boost for the Digitex community. They now see that we are real, and we are delivering. We have a CEO that never gives up and gives so many positive vibes to the community and the team!”

On Upcoming Features

Which mainnet features is she most looking forward to?

“I’m quite an emotional trader myself, so I prefer to use bots to do my trading. So I’m patiently waiting for the API on mainnet, which isn’t much longer! I recommend that people use bots as they help with market-making and mean you can trade 24/7. This also helps volume, and it means you can earn profits all day long, even when you’re working on other things.”

Jolien has also been testing out the new ETH markets, which are now live on the testnet! She says:

“I briefly tested trading the new ETH contracts yesterday, and it works great. Adding markets isn’t difficult, but we need to make sure we can generate liquidity for them in mainnet.”

To most of the team, Jolien lives and breathes Digitex. Whenever she’s not at her other job as a train driver for the Belgian railways, she’s online and chatting to the community or the team, so it’s hard to imagine how she has time for anything else.

But during the spare time she does have, she plays defense on a women’s soccer team and indulges her passion for the land Down Under. “I’m in love with Australia and hope to move there someday!

Thanks Jolien for your time and unwavering dedication to Digitex!

The Digitex Social Community Is Growing Globally

If you’ve been following our blog and updates, you’ll know that Digitex has been busy behind the scenes! SmartDec is on the case working to bring you the game-changing, robust and rapid-fire futures exchange you deserve. Our marketing efforts have been ramping up as we work to build the Digitex brand globally, and Adam has been hashing out every last detail preparing for launch with the team in Moscow. Today, we’re pleased to announce that the Digitex social community is growing globally as well.

The Digitex Social Community Telegram Groups

With over 1.5 million on our waitlist ready for the launch, the Digitex Futures Telegram group is unsurprisingly one of the biggest in the crypto space. At its peak, our community was consistently the busiest and most engaged in the industry creating a buzz over commission-free trading!
Some of that excitement has understandably dropped off as we were forced to postpone the launch. However, we still have over 50k members going strong and a team of admins manning the chat 24/7 to answer questions, clear up doubts, and engage with our supporters. We also have thousands more people signed up to our English Telegram News channel which posts announcements and updates.
In June, considering our new location and the importance of the Russian market for Digitex, we launched our official Russian Telegram group as well. And now, we’re happy to let you know that if English isn’t your first language and you’d like to join in the conversation in your mother tongue, we now have even more options available to you.

More Official Global Telegram Groups Launched Today

If you’re a Spanish speaker, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now express your comments, questions, and concerns in Spanish through our new Telegram chat here. If you’re in the Malaysian region and want to find out more about the project, you can sign up to our Malaysian Telegram group here.
We are also rolling out the Digitex social community to Vietnamese, Portuguese, Dutch, Korean, and Japanese speakers as well. Since it takes a while to form a community, these groups will be starting small at first. Unlike our massive English-speaking community, the chats won’t be manned by admins 24 hours a day just yet–but we’re willing to bet that they will be very soon!

What Our Community Members Talk About

Our new official groups are managed by volunteers and provide a place where people who speak other languages than English as their first language can discuss any aspects of the Digitex Futures exchange and DGTX token freely.
We do have a few rules in place. These are not groups for talking about trading, so if you’re interested in joining a trading chat, it’s best to look elsewhere. Also, please remember that the discussion communities are moderated by volunteers giving their time freely. Please have respect for these people. All scammers and fake accounts will be removed immediately.

Wrapping It Up

We understand the importance of communicating with our community members in their local languages. That’s why we’re also busy translating our website, creating more foreign-language content, and developing the exchange to be user-friendly to everyone regardless of their location.
Thank you for being a valued part of the Digitex community. Let us know through our English Telegram chat if there’s a language you’d like to see an official Digitex Telegram group in and we’ll do our best to create one. To the moon!

Digitex Futures Would Like to Say Thank You to Our Community

Digitex Futures
• admin
May 6, 2019

The last 10 days have been rough. Ever since Adam announced that the launch would be delayed a second time, our native token DGTX has taken a battering. We’ve been accused of horrible acts, and we understand why so many community members are angry, hurt, and upset. We’re very sorry for this and we’d like to say a sincere thank you to the community who has stood by us through thick and thin.

Digitex Futures Community Is Like No Other

It doesn’t matter if you’re in it for the DGTX price speculation, the active Telegram chat, or because you’re truly craving commission-free futures trading. Our community is unlike any other in the cryptocurrency industry, plain and simple.
We regularly make Telegram’s top three most engaged and active community groups, beating out Binance and almost everyone else in the crypto space! You participate, interact, tell us how and when we can improve, support us when we do well, and let us know when we mess up.
The massive drop in token price was understandable as panic selling set in. We let you down and you let us know. Some of you may have left either temporarily or for good. Yet despite your anger or bewilderment, the majority of you has stayed with us.
You realize that Digitex isn’t just a faceless project working behind closed doors. In fact, you know us all by face and name. Adam, Lee, Lidia, Martin, Sona, Dmitrij, Gary, Christina… all the people available to you every day to take your questions and provide you with answers.
Adam made a choice that he thought was good at the time and like other human beings, he made a mistake. But making mistakes is not what defines us. It’s how we set about fixing them that counts. Thank you for realizing that and for hearing our side of the story. Other communities may have seen their Telegram groups abandoned. But, despite some members leaving, we’re still going strong at over 70K.
So to all our token holders, advisers, followers, and supporters, we want to say thank you. Your patience, tolerance, and words of encouragement will be rewarded. As Adam promised, we will not rest until we deliver what we said we would.

Thank You to the Media Who Stood By Us

Nothing commands negative press like bad news. When the “s” word is being thrown around and the team is being accused of exiting, it’s hard for influencers and journalists to come out in support.
So to those of you who did, we’d like to say a very big thank you. All the press who didn’t shy away from covering us and who let Adam explain our side of the story.
Crypto Beadles, Keith Wareing, The Crypto Lifestyle, BTC TV, we know that you all put your reputations on the line each time you support a project. So, thank you for asking the hard questions. Thank you for not letting Adam off the hook, and for allowing him to speak. Most of all, thank you for not shutting down your doors on us.
We also thank all the other media and community members who sent us messages of support. And to the press, CryptoDaily, BitcoinExchangeGuide, CryptoSlate, NewsBTC, Crypto Potato, and numerous others, who see the potential in our company and the strength of our new development partnership.

Thank You to Everyone Who Promoted Our Launch

Thank you to everyone who promoted the launch. Reaching 1.5 million signups on a waitlist for a project is a major achievement and we couldn’t have done it without all the people referring their friends and competing for their slot in the top 5,000.
We’ll be announcing the winners very soon and the top 10 winners who take home 100K DGTX each will be paid out starting next week. You all did an amazing job and we’re proud and extremely grateful to have you on board.

Thank You to SmartDec

Last but by no means least, we’d like to say a huge thank you to SmartDec. Thank you for always being effective, efficient, punctual, exact, and for providing us with excellent services so far.
Thank you for coming to us immediately afterward and offering your help. Thank you for believing in us enough to want to help us finish making this exchange, the Digitex Futures exchange that will be non-custodial and commission-free right from the start.
Secure, robust, and built by some of the smartest people in the Ethereum developer community. We’re so excited to be working with you and we know that we will regain the trust and respect from the rest of the industry.
Adam will be flying out to Moscow later this week to work alongside the SmartDec team. We’ll be posting regular updates and showcasing the lead developer, as well as other members of the Russia-based team, and we’ll be heeding their advice.
We won’t make you any more promises, except for one: We will deliver nothing but the best and we will update you with a time frame as soon as we can. Stick with us, and don’t be a stranger. You can join in the chat on our Telegram, manned by the Digitex team 24/7.

Digitex Futures Would Like to Say Thank You to Our Community 12
